Q: What is the minimum quantity for a custom print order?

A: The minimum order quantity is 6,700 pouches. However, this number can vary depending on the size and material of your pouches.

Q: How much does custom printed packaging cost?

A: The cost of a custom print run is the price of the bags, plus $240.00 per printing plate.

Q: May I see samples of your previous work?

A: Yes, contact a sales rep to receive samples of custom print and labels we have completed in the past.

Q: Can I get a sample of my pouch before we move into final production?

A: A digital PDF proof will be provided for your approval prior to production. For an additional fee, you can receive a film proof for your approval. Please contact your sales rep for more information and pricing. Learn more about film proofs here

Q: What is the lead time (How soon can I get my order)?

A: Standard lead time is 8-10 weeks from time of master proof approval. If you’d like your print job rushed, please let your sales representative know so you are quoted accordingly.

Q: What is the difference between custom print packaging and a custom label?

A: A custom printed pouch is your artwork printed onto a large roll of clear film and laminated to your chosen material. A custom label is your artwork printed onto a clear or white BOPP (sticker) label and then applied to a blank pouch

Q: Do you print directly onto the bag?

A: No. Your artwork is printed onto a film material then laminated to your silver foil or clear material and constructed into your custom pouch. If you'd like to learn more about understanding our color printing process, click here.

Q: Do you have a labeling service?

A: Yes. We can produce custom white or clear BOPP labels with your design. We also offer a labeling service to have them applied to your packaging. To learn more visit our labeling service information page. Note: Labels are an “add-on” service. You must additionally purchase stock pouches at the time of your label purchase.

Q: Do you have setup charges?

A: Yes, printing plates are $240.00/each. This is a one-time charge. Please note: Additional printing plates may be required if there are changes made to the artwork.

Q: How is the number of plates determined?

A: The number of plates in your artwork is determined by our production department. This means you may have submitted your artwork in CMYK + White, but if production determines you will need additional plates to prevent registration issues additional spot (Pantone) colors will need to be determined.

Q: What is the max amount of color plates you can use?

A: The max number of plates is 9.

Q: Do you have an in-house designer available?

A: Yes, IMPAK’s offers design services as an add-on service. Pricing is quoted at an hourly rate depending on the artwork’s stage, and if a bag deposit has been made. *Note: Hourly pricing rate is lower if your deposit has been paid.

Q: Can I print on the inside of the pouch?

A: Yes. This is a highly unique capability. Ask your sales rep for more information on this process.

Q: How do I submit my artwork?

A: Email your .ai/.eps/.psd file to your sales rep. If the file does not fit, you may send it to us via a file share site such as Dropbox is acceptable. Click here to view our graphic submission guidelines

Q: Do you produce uniquely shaped custom printed pouches?

A: We pride ourselves in our ability to produce custom shaped pouches. Contact our sales team to get started on a quote for your unique packaging.

Q: I received my quote, what does over/under mean?

A: Over/Under is the amount of pouches that may be printed above or below your requested quantity. Your final invoice will be revised to reflect the actual number of pouches produced. The over/under percent varies depending on quantities ordered, as well as pouch size. Our technical specialist will be happy to explain this further.
