300 cc Oxygen Absorber Packets

Description: Oxygen Absorber Packets remove oxygen from airtight containers to below 0.01%, according to Food Industry standards, when used as directed. Upon exposure to air, iron in the packet immediately absorbs oxygen " breaks it down into harmless iron-oxide which is safely contained in the packet " does not contaminate the food.

Each 300 cc Oxygen Absorber Packet treats well over 1 gallon of tamped-down " settled grain, bean, nut or seed product stored in airtight containers.
Recommended packet quantities per container are based on minimum Food Industry standards. Be wary of suppliers suggesting anything less.

NOTE: Oxygen Absorbers are so efficient that a vacuum is created in an airtight container, just as in canned containers. If you notice the sides " top of plastic containers drawn in, that is normal. Partly filled containers may be extremely drawn in. This can be avoided by assuring that all containers are tamped down " full. In extreme cases, in order to remove the lid it may be necessary to relieve the vacuum by drilling a very small hole in the lid " then sealing the hole with a dab of silicone sealer.
