The PA/tie/PE/tie/PA/tie/PE composition offers enhanced environmental sustainability over PET/AL/OPA/PE by removing the aluminum layer. This removal notably lowers cumulative carbon output and ensures technical alignment with contemporary mechanical recycling processes. The PA/tie/PE/tie/PA/tie/PE layer lowers total manufacturing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Constructed as an all-polymeric film, the PA/tie/PE structure provides a recyclable alternative to multi-material laminates. Although standard curbside programs often exclude these materials, advanced recycling systems utilize modern compatibilizers to blend the PE and PA components. This process allows for the production of high-quality recycled plastic pellets without the need for layer separation, supporting more efficient recovery cycles.
