ROTOGRAVURE ART PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
The following specifications have been designed to assist with:
Art preparation - and to minimize time loss/additional costing.
**2 hard copies of artwork AND 1 (one) CD MINIMUM should be provided***
1. Artwork to be supplied as:
a) Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop files plus PDF files.
(Other formats such as Macromedia Freehand, CorelDraw, will be accepted with a $150 PREPAID conversion charge)
b) Created outline for all texts and supply the fonts you used in the artwork.
c) The resolution of photographic image files must be no less than 350dpi.
d) Never flatten the file, we need all the layer and original files.
e) All wordings should be converted into outline.
f) All fonts used in the artwork should be included.
g) All PhotoShop image files should be attached. Never Flatten the Layers.
h) Artwork to be supplied as two EPS files is preferred.
One is converted into outline (Important); the other is not converted into outline.
2. We require: At least two (2) color proofs, along with “Black on white printouts”, identifying & showing coverage of each color,
especially the white color (if you can do the paper proof).
3. True color indicators/color standards, must be supplied (PMS number or colour sample).
4. Print tolerances – 0.1mm to 0.2mm spreads and tucks. (i.e. to counteract shift due to print process or materials).
Do not butt join colors!
5. Avoid reversing type out of more than one color, or small design out of joined colors.
6. Avoid using two or more colors to form small dots, lines, dashes, etc.
7. Barcode: 85% as a minimum.
8. If the artwork is under 6MB, it can be sent as an e-mail attachment to prepressinfo@sorbentsystems.com.
If over 6MB, please send the artwork on CD to:
