Channel Bags
As a long term producer and provider of flexible packaging for freeze dried foods and more, IMPAK Corporation is very familiar with the wide range of bags that have been created to work with vacuum sealing machines.
There is a specific group of machines, Tilia®, MagicVac®, VacMaster®, Foodsaver®, ProVac, Deni etc that all represent a form of vacuum sealer known to professionals in the field as an external clamp sealer.
All of these machines require the use of a bag or pouch that has a special surface and a pattern which creates channels or pathways for the air to be pulled through these channels into the external clamp vacuum sealer.
Our Quality Control personnel guarantee that our "Special Surface" bags will work in ANY of the vacuum sealers that require this embossed pattern. In the commercial packaging industry, this is known as a proprietary interface. It is similar to that used by the razor blade manufacturers in order to build their business by insuring that their specialty blades are designed only to fit into their handheld razor unit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a vacuum sealer with a 12" wide seal bar, you may feel that the 12" x 16" which works very well in the MagicVac (15") wide sealer or the Pro2100/2300 (15") wide sealer, is too big to use with 12" seal bar sealers or some of the machines made overseas. This is not the case, people continually tell us new ways to use their channel bag machines. Our 14" , 16" and 24" wide bags can be used with most of your 12" wide machines.
